Report of the IPW-Day participation by Dr Ogawara
I participated in the IPW-Day at the Kobe University on 26 September 2008, together with Mr. Ryuichi Munakata (N3), a representative of the steering committee for team work training of the FY2008, and Mr. Takuya Yoshioka (LS3) who participated on a voluntary basis.
At the morning session, lectures were delivered by Dr Steven Hoffman, who was the committee member for promoting IPW in Canada and its first chairperson of the board, and Dr Jason Nickerson, who was a current chairperson of the board of the Canadian Student Association. In the afternoon, a participatory workshop was conducted where we enjoyed wheelchair relays, T-shirt handicraft, and yes-or-no games. Please see the student reports below for more details. I would like to acknowledge here with gratitude kind support of the student support club and the alumni association “Shisui club” for funding student participation. (the reporter: Ogawara)
