Simulated training using case scenarios
We prepared case scenarios for training sessions at each facility for 2008 onward.
Joint training with students from the School of Medicine
With support from the Educational Affairs Committee of the School of Medicine, we held meetings with instructors and students of the School of Medicine to discuss the program and examples of case scenarios.
Development of educational information networks for interprofessional health care in collaboration with medical facilities and other universities
- In cooperation with the “Shisui Club” (the alumni association of the School of Health Sciences), we conducted a free-comment survey of graduates. Based on this survey we created a multiple-choice questionnaire for 2008 onward.
- We organized the 1st joint conference with the facility staff.
- We invited instructors involved in team medicine from other universities at an open seminar to develop extensive educational networks for interprofessional education.
Production of educational materials
We held preliminary discussions to produce educational materials in DVD format and develop a website.
2008
Simulated training using case scenarios and joint training with students from the School of Medicine
We will revise the curriculum and provide the simulated training program for interprofessional education, based on case scenarios for students of the Schools of Health Sciences and Medicine.
Development of educational information networks for interprofessional education in collaboration with health facilities and other universities
- Based on the questionnaire survey conducted on graduates in 2007, we will examine the effects of “interprofessional education” at their workplace.
- We are planning to hold a joint conference with other health care facilities, collect information, and organize a symposium to develop information networks for interprofessional health care.
Production of educational materials
We will record training sessions provided under the new curriculum, and compile them to create educational materials in DVD format and publish them on the website.
2009
Simulated training using case scenarios and joint training with students from the School of Medicine
Based on the achievements in 2008, we will hold a joint conference between the Schools of Medicine and Health Sciences to discuss ways to improve the curriculum.
Development of educational information networks for interprofessional education in collaboration with medical facilities and other universities
We will extend the interprofessional education network through intensive discussion at a symposium and analyzing the results of surveys of graduates.
Production of educational materials
We will improve the educational system by upgrading the website and producing/distributing educational materials in DVD format.
Through these activities and efforts, we will enhance cooperation with and among “Shisui Club” or the alumni association of the School of Health Sciences, School of Medicine and its alumni association, “Tojo Club”, Faculty of Medicine, and health care facilities in the community.
