The School of Health Sciences of Gunma University provides an unique and distinctive “teamwork training”. The School of Health Sciences consists of four departments - “Nursing”, “Laboratory Sciences”, “Physical Therapy”, and “Occupational Therapy”.
We provide simulated training in which students from various departments work in groups, conduct preliminary studies, undergo clinical training at facilities outside the university, hold discussions, and make reports.
The training program, targeting seven fields – “hospital medicine”, “community health care”, “home health care”, “rehabilitation”, “health care for the mentally ill”, “pediatric care”, and “elderly care”, are implemented with support from about twenty facilities inside and outside the university that are involved in diversified community health care services. Instructors from all departments of the university take part in the training program.
According to the results of surveys conducted every year, both students and instructors positively evaluate the teamwork-training program.
